To celebrate the construction of half a million Audi TTs, the German brand has put together a special edition of the car known as the TTS Competition, of which 500 will be produced.
Starting on the outside, the car can be had in either imola yellow or nimbus gray, and comes standard with a large fixed rear wing attached by matte gray bars. Opting for the convertible version of the car allows for the choice between a black or gray top, while both the roadster and coupe are fitted with 19-inch wheels shod with 225/35 tires.
On the inside the car is finished with steel-gray leather accented by yellow stitching, and each car is fitted with an aluminium badge that is marked with an individual production number for that car.
Getting to the important stuff, the TTS gets its power from a 272-hp 2.0-liter engine that makes 258 lb-ft of torque. It can be hooked up to either a six-speed automatic or a six-speed manual which then routes the power to all the wheels thanks to Audi’s Quattro system. The car will spring to 62 mph in 5.3 seconds when equipped with the automatic gearbox in coupe form.
The first TT was introduced to the market in 1998, and since has spawned a convertible, high-output TTRS model, and has even incorporated a diesel engine.
